Changelog & roadmap

What shipped, what's next

CaptureFlow is built in phases and released as each one is genuinely finished. No feature is listed as done until it works.

0.7.0 — CaptureFlow Studio

Current October 2026
  • New: CaptureFlow Studio — record a lesson with your screen, a window, a tab or just your camera
  • Camera bubble (round, rounded or square), side-by-side and full-frame layouts
  • Draw while you record: pen, highlighter, arrow, line, shapes, text, laser pointer and spotlight — on any web page, Google Slides or a PDF
  • Floating controls window that is never recorded, so only your ink appears in the video
  • Freeze & Draw and a whiteboard
  • Record in segments; retake, reorder or delete one segment without touching the rest
  • Export one MP4 or WebM in 720p, 1080p or 4K, or upload it for a share link
  • Lessons saved on your own computer, with a library to come back to them
  • Free plan: lessons up to 30 minutes with a small “Made with CaptureFlow” mark; Basic: unlimited, no mark
  • A warning when your microphone is completely silent (for example, muted in Windows)
  • Fixed: recordings can now be scrubbed forward and back in the player
  • Fixed: a recording with the microphone on but no sound no longer saves an empty file

0.5.0 — Screen recording, accounts and share links

August 2026
  • Record this tab, your desktop or a window, your camera, or a custom area you drag a box around
  • Microphone and tab audio, pause and resume, and an on-page bar showing what is being recorded
  • Free account with Google sign-in
  • Upload & get link for screenshots and recordings, with chunked uploads for large files
  • Short captureflow.pro/s/… share pages with comments, including timestamped comments on video
  • My Captures dashboard with view counts, rename and delete
  • Entire-screen and app-window screenshots, and annotating an image from your disk or clipboard
